Key Tasks: AccountabilitiesRecruit, develop manage and lead a multi-functional packaging team, including all warehouse and logistics movement, tankering operations and kegging.
Manage shift rotas and operations, including absence management, to provide flexibility and skill balance within the team to ensure beer is always packed, tankered and delivered on time in full to the highest quality standard.
Ensure SLA adherence to end-to-end production processes including (but not limited to), order management, planning & scheduling, warehouse, transportation, customs & excise.
Lead all elements of production and performance tracking to guarantee 100% attainment to daily, weekly, and monthly KPI's and attend departmental meetings to report corrective actions/plans.
Be accountable and responsible for all packaging raw materials end to end and ensure 5S both digital and physical are within standard.
Guarantee a safe environment for all site personnel making sure to adhere to strict safety standards, keep training for your shift always up to date and challenge unsafe behaviour. Carry out regular safety and environmental behaviour observations whilst ensuring near misses are recorded and closed on time in full.
Ensure cost optimisation across all areas of the department
Maintain all production paperwork with full compliance to traceability, trading and HMRC standards
Accountable in assisting production SAP on day-to-day basis and maintain stock accuracy. Assist Asset manager in end of the month stock checks.
Sustain a clean production facility to the highest quality and to BRC level food safety standard
Assist (and at times lead) continuous improvement projects directly linked to optimising/maximising performance, efficiencies and output working closely with the packaging SME
Manage all losses and discrepancies working closely with the asset manager to correct and troubleshoot
Skills, Knowledge and Experience required:Experience of managing or leading within an FMCG production environment specifically demonstrating packaging, brewing, quality or similar experience
Have successfully delivered process improvement initiatives or understand the process to implement a key performance indicator (KPI). Ability to manage and coach the daily monitoring of processes to keep performance within control, or execute reaction plans and actions to bring it back in to control
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make critical decisions as required in all areas of production
Make critical decisions whilst responsible for the production shift, ensuring safety, quality and then production are protected at all times
The ability to lead and motivate a team to deliver all areas of production to plan
