Job Overview:



A varied role which will be an integral part of the factory within Bella & Duke. You will be joining a close-knit team at the heart of a fast moving, high growth company. The successful applicant will supervise staff to produce manufactured products, organise and monitor workflow. In addition you will lead the hygiene team to focus on maintaining rigorous hygiene standards within a production environment, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations.

Tasks and Accountabilities:



Ensuring that customer orders are produced to the correct customer specification, and in time for delivery at the Lowest Unit Cost. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment for all staff. Effectively managing all the areas to ensure all costs are kept within the budget limits set. Close monitoring of the efficiency of each line. Implementation, monitoring and improvement of production systems and procedures to minimise costs and maximise efficiencies. Monitoring and evaluations of systems and procedures within all site areas. Forming an effective production team and their inclusion in the improvement process. Managing Team/Line Leaders and ensuring there is an adequate absence cover and succession planning. Ensuring all staff are suitably managed in line with company policies and procedures. Conducting regular briefings for each shift team. Identifying and carrying out training needs in line with the posts and the needs of the factory and the business. Adhering to current Food Safety & Quality legislations and company procedures. Ensuring relevant company procedures are followed on food production, handling and hygiene at all times where applicable. Reporting procedure breaches to the relevant manager. Adhering to all installed HACCP procedures and monitoring CCPs where necessary. Completing process control sheets. Carrying out Health & Safety risk assessments. Ensuring the production area and all peripheral areas of the factory are cleaned to an exceptionally high standard. Directing and motivating your team to ensure consistent and high quality hygiene practices are met. Ensuring the team pays close attention to detail when breaking down, cleaning and reassembling machines. This includes putting all the protective covers on the machines and bagging all sockets and screens prior to cleaning, to prevent water ingress. Ensuring the production lines are rebuilt as per the production plan.

Desired Experience:



2-3 years relevant work experience in a manufacturing environment. Prior supervisory experience.

Ability to rectify problems across production lines and staff. Good understanding of the constraints under which production area operates. Time and process management and looking for process improvement. Production planning and quality control. Appetite for supporting colleagues and team management. Physically fit to meet the demands of a warehouse environment. Comfortable working to strict deadlines. Good communication skills, especially with the planning team. Strong planning and organisational skills with a sense of priority for deadlines and attention to detail. Identify training needs and identify training where needed. Excellent decision making and problem-solving skills. Ability to be flexible to meet business needs. A passion for delivering results and the drive to exceed expectations. A team player. Self-motivated and a strong commitment to personal development. Understanding of Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) regulations.

Working Pattern:



Backshift - 40hrs per week Monday - Friday
