What you will doWe are looking for a Production Manager to lead the build, integration, and delivery of our Autonomous Underwater Vehicles (AUVs). In the near term, you will ensure AUVs are built to spec and delivered on time, working closely with engineers, technicians, and suppliers. The role is based in the UK, with production centred in Southampton. Over time, production may expand to our regional sites, giving you the chance to help shape our global production strategy. This role can grow into a senior leadership position. Success in delivering, scaling, and improving production will be the foundation for that progression.

Key ResponsibilitiesDeliver AUV builds and integrations according to agreed schedules, quality standards, and budget constraints. Manage and coordinate production activities, facilitating the transition from engineering to build phases. Coordinate with the supply chain to obtain materials and components and address issues as they arise. Supervise production technicians and contractors to ensure work is performed safely and efficiently. Provide support during commissioning and acceptance, working with operations teams to transfer deployable assets. Monitor progress, identify risks, and implement actions to maintain programme timelines. Communicate with project and programme management within regional businesses to support delivery objectives. Apply systems and controls to enable process consistency and identify potential areas for improvement. Establish credibility through consistent delivery, enabling future opportunities for expanded leadership as the role develops.

Who you areExperience in production management of AUVs, ROVs, or other complex subsea robotic systems is preferred. Technical background in mechanical, electrical, marine systems, or naval architecture, with the capability to coordinate across disciplines. Proven experience in completing projects within challenging, fast-paced environments. Practical approach to problem-solving with the ability to maintain project delivery. Experience collaborating with suppliers and contractors to address supply chain and construction issues. Interest in professional development and progression into senior leadership roles based on demonstrated performance.

Salary: The salary varies for this position as we are recruiting in multiple regional locations and job grades. The salary process is based on skills, abilities, and experience required.
