Don Electronics Ltd is a long established business with a well-earned reputation spanning over many years for designing and manufacturing high quality electronic devices for industrial use throughout the world. Based in Yeadon, our friendly, family run business has a vacancy for a full time role of 37 hours per week (Monday to Friday) within our Manufacturing/Production team.

Working within a safe, well organised, and clean environment you will work as part of a team to build electronic systems, components, and encapsulate products by following manufacturing and assembly procedures.

We have a modern purpose built building and are well located for public transport routes and also offer flexible working patterns as well as 30 days paid annual leave.

The main areas of responsibility for this role are as follows:-

Completing assemblies by fitting and adjusting parts

a) It is vital that the work you produce is of the highest quality.

b) Wiring and soldering components.

c) Completing sub-assemblies.

d) Electronics testing using automatic test equipment.

e) Applying potting/bonding materials to encapsulate PCB's.

f) Work towards departmental objectives and a more efficient and productive function.

Maintain a safe, secure and clean working environment

a) Follow standards and procedures.

b) Adhere to company Health & Safety policy and procedures.

Support all other production line operatives as required

a) Learn and understand the various aspects of all the production areas, so that your skills can be developed and used throughout the production team.

Skills, Knowledge & Competence Requirements:

Essential requirements

(i) Capable of working to and meeting deadlines

(ii) Quality focus with excellent attention to detail and accuracy

(iii) Precision soldering skills - conventional 'thru-hole' or SMT components

(iv) Production line experience in a manufacturing environment

(v) Team player

(vi) Adaptable

(vii) The ability to communicate clearly with staff at all levels

Desirable requirements

(i) Electronic assembly

(ii) Potting/Encapsulation experience

(iii) Electronic Testing
