To manage the production function of the factory, in accordance with the agreed safety, quality, cost and output targets. Optimize performance of the factory on an ongoing basis in accordance with agreed quality standards and cost targets. Observe and adhere to Company Policies and Procedures and appropriate legislation. Develop the skills and competencies of the manufacturing team to meet the needs of the business
2. Key Outputs/Deliverables
Achieve line efficiency and output consistent with the annual budget requirement.
Ensure Direct Labour recovery for the site meets annual budget requirement.
Full compliance with all Quality Assurance Procedures as documented in the Quality Manual.
Compliance with all relevant Laws, Regulations and Company Policies.
Timely and accurate reports to the General Manager.
3. Principal responsibilities
Manage the manufacturing of all products against agreed sales forecasts, at or below the standard costs in accordance with the agreed quality specifications set down for each product.
Planning of all production requirements for the site, including SAP input / management and staff allocation.
Ensure timely and accurate production of finished goods for all customers.
Develop and direct methods to improve the productivity and efficiency of the manufacturing operations.
Select and maintain the appropriate quality and quantity of personnel for all positions.
Direct, monitor and appraise the performance of his/her employees and set aggressive but realistic performance standards. Ensure that performance against standards for staff is accurately assessed.
Manage the department's financial expenditures and performances to meet the agreed budget as a minimum.
Observe all relevant statutory, rules and regulations and internal quality system requirements.

Educated to A level (preferably degree educated)
Computer Literate
