Summary

As a company, we have invested heavily over the last number of years on a new factory, machinery, and staff to keep up with an increased workload from new customers. With several exciting new projects coming on board this year, we are now seeking a skilled Production Manager to join our team at Plastics 2000 Ltd. In this role, you will oversee production operations, ensuring that we meet quality standards and production targets while maintaining a safe working environment. Your leadership will be crucial in driving efficiency and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

Production Planning & Execution:

Develop schedules to ensure smooth operations. Work with Supply Chain to ensure correct allocation of resources.

Process Optimization:

Monitor and improve injection moulding workflows to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.

Quality Control:

Ensure products meet industry standards and customer specifications.

Team Leadership:

Supervise and mentor production staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Equipment Maintenance:

Collaborate with maintenance teams to keep machinery in optimal condition.

Problem-Solving & Decision-Making:

Address production challenges and implement solutions to maintain operational efficiency.

Requirements

Education/Experience:

Degree level or equivalent in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering or similar / Or 5 years experience in a Production Manager role.

Technical Expertise:

Proficiency in manufacturing processes, equipment, and quality control systems. Previous experience in plastics or rubber manufacturing an advantage.

Leadership & Communication:

Experience of managing teams and coordinating with cross-functional departments.

Process Improvement:

Experience in Lean manufacturing and 5S methodologies.

Software Knowledge:

Proficient with Office 365 tools in particular Excel and production planning tools.

Job Types:

Permanent, Full-time.

Salary:

30k-35k, dependant on experience.

Working Hours:

38 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
