We're looking for a proactive and organised Production Manager to manage and coordinate the sales orders from receipt of order to installation/delivery.
The Role
To oversee and manage all aspects of the production process to increase efficiency and to meet quality standards and health and safety protocols.
Responsible for overseeing and streamlining the production process by managing schedules, coordinating resources, and ensuring efficient operations from start to finish.
Summary
Production Manager
Key responsibilities include , tracking materials, managing inventory, communicating with stakeholders, and resolving operational issues to meet deadlines and quality standards. This role acts as a central link, ensuring smooth communication and workflow between sales, production, planning, and supply chain departments.
Key Responsibilities
Production Planning & Scheduling:
Develop and manage production schedules, ensuring that resources like personnel, machinery, and materials are available to meet production targets. Setting quality standards throughout the operation. Load versus capacity
Sales liaison:
Work with Sales/Account Managers to make sure orders carry the correct information--chasing gaps and clarifying customer requirements before work is scheduled. Conducting contract reviews.
Inventory Management:
Liaise with the Purchasing supervisor to monitor and manage raw material and component inventory, placing orders to replenish stock and optimizing inventory levels.
Budgeting and Finance:
Managing production budgets, negotiating costs and controlling expences.
Quality control:
Monitoring production runs, recording amendments in design, conducting quality checks and minimising waste and to carry out NCR meetings and analysis to improve processes.
Communication:
Serve as a vital communication link between internal teams (planning, production) and external partners, such as suppliers and vendors. Proactively identify and resolve potential issues, such as component delays or operational conflicts, to maintain a smooth workflow
Documentation & Reporting:
Maintain accurate records, reports, and other necessary documentation related to the production process.
Compliance:
Ensure that production processes adhere to quality standards, safety regulations, and other compliance requirements.
People & safety:
Team and resource management. Hiring and training personnel, managing daily operations, ensuring staff welfare.
What you'll bring
Experience coordinating/scheduling in a
make?to?order
production environment (signage, print, metalwork, joinery, POS or similar is a plus).
A sharp,
analytical
mindset comfortable with data and technical text; high attention to detail.
Clear, confident communication and the ability to
negotiate
priorities while staying respectful and solutions?focused.
Working knowledge of
CRM/MRP/ERP
tools and Microsoft 365 (especially Excel for lists, pivots or lookups).
Solid

and a continuous?improvement mindset.
