Job Overview:



We are seeking an experienced, results driven and highly organised

Production Manager

to oversee our production floor operations. This role is essential to maintaining our high-quality standards, ensuring smooth workflows, and achieving production targets, especially during our peak season. You will lead and coordinate teams, manage resources, and uphold quality and compliance standards.

In 2024, we successfully packed

8.5 million units

across

two warehouses and ten production rooms

, and we're gearing up for even greater expansion. At peak season, our workforce grows by an additional

400 staff

, ensuring that our products reach customers efficiently and on time. This is a high-volume, fast-moving operation that requires a skilled leader to optimise production, streamline processes, and drive continuous improvement. The right candidate will play a key role in optimising operations and help support us in future growth.

Key Responsibilities:



Team Leadership:

We take pride in developing our team, with many employees progressing from entry-level roles to leadership positions. The Production Manager will play a critical role in identifying and nurturing talent within the company. They will direct and support production staff, including training, daily supervision, and fostering a positive, productive work environment.

Peak Season and Temporary Workforce Management:

This role requires excellent workforce planning skills, as the successful candidate will be responsible for effectively managing an additional 400 seasonal workers during peak production months.

Quality Assurance:

Ensure products meet customer and company standards by coordinating with Quality Control and Technical departments to uphold high-quality standards.

Inventory & Supply Chain Coordination:

Work closely with the Warehouse and Supply Chain teams to ensure raw materials and packaging supplies are available, managing stock levels and preventing delays.

Process Improvement:

Identify areas for efficiency improvement, implement Lean or similar methodologies, and promote continuous improvement initiatives.

Efficiency & Cost Control:

Work closely with senior leadership to implement cost-saving initiatives while maintaining quality and efficiency in production.

Crisis Management & Problem Solving:

Quickly identify and address production challenges, implementing contingency plans when necessary.

Health & Safety Compliance:

Maintain a safe and organised production environment, enforce health and safety regulations, and ensure machinery and equipment are properly maintained.

Collaboration with Supply Chain & Logistics:

Work Closely with warehouse and supply chain teams to ensure seamless material availability and order fulfilment.

Data Analysis & Reporting:

Track key performance indicators (KPIs), prepare daily and monthly production reports, and communicate updates to senior management.

Qualifications:



Experience:

Minimum of 3-5 years in a production management role, preferably in FMCG, packaging, food production, or a related industry.

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Production Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field is preferred but not essential.

Skills:

Strong organisational and leadership skills, with experience managing teams and workflows in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency with production management software such as SAP / Produmex and MS Office Suite.

Knowledge:

understanding and experience with quality control standards, health and safety regulations, and experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or similar process improvement techniques.

Soft Skills:

Excellent communication, problem-solving abilities, and the ability to stay calm under pressure
