Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Production Manager to oversee our manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring efficient production processes, maintaining quality standards, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. This role requires a strong understanding of supply chain management and mechanical knowledge to optimise production workflows and enhance overall productivity.

Duties

Plan, organise and control the manufacturing personnel to ensure that product output is sufficient in quantity and of the right quality, whilst maximising efficiency to meet customer order and Company requirements. Ensure that the requirements of the Quality and HACCP manuals are adhered to, and that all Health and Safety requirements are met. Monitor and report labour efficiency, material wastage, equipment downtime and other relevant production data. Initiate actions to improve performance where necessary. Ensure that the production operation runs as cost effectively as possible and that labour efficiency, material wastage, equipment downtime and other relevant production data are monitored and reported. Leading, motivating and scheduling the tasks of direct reports to create a dynamic team, ensuring they are kept up to date with business objectives and matters of health and safety by regular team meetings/121s. Ensure that all operators are trained in accordance with the Procedures Manual, and that records are maintained. Identify areas and initiate actions which will improve performance or yield financial savings to the Company. Ensure that a job rotation programme is prepared and complied with where repetitive tasks are involved and that due care and attention is given to minimising risks posed by manual handling tasks. Ensure that product specifications and the requirements of HACCP and BRCGS for Food Safety are adhered to at all times. Attend regular product taste panels. Attend regular Senior Management Review and Technical Review meetings as described in Senior Management Commitment and Continual Improvement. Ensure maintenance of standards of product quality, traceability and audit readiness. Ensure that all Production Operators undergo training which will provide them with sufficient knowledge and skill to become proficient in recognising and dealing with the Health and Safety requirements of their working environment. Ensure that all Operators are fully trained in the Health and Safety requirements of their duties. Identify all instances where direct reports are found to have failed to comply with the Company regulations and policies, this includes good practice and take appropriate disciplinary action. Maintain factory hygiene, including personnel facilities, to a high standard of cleanliness, taking note of and correcting any visible problems and those indicated by environmental swabbing. Ensure that satisfactory standards of personal hygiene and dress code, are maintained and that the specific requirements of the Company Personal COP are adhered to. Any other duties commensurate with the grade and level of responsibility of this post. Management of the MRP system to create, maintain and trace production orders.

Pay: 35,000.00-37,000.00 per year
