Job Overview

We're a high growth, young company on a mission to raise the industry bar for children's food. We have a thriving direct to consumer business, and a growing number of B2B nursery catering and wholesale contracts too.

We are seeking a highly agile and experienced Production Manager to oversee our food manufacturing operations and help us scale at pace. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a solid understanding of food healthy and safety (SALSA experience required). This role is crucial in ensuring that production targets are met while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.

Duties

Manage daily production activities to ensure efficient operations and adherence to schedules - delivering OTIF targets. Supervise, lead and motivate a team of production staff, providing guidance and support as needed. Monitor production processes, identifying areas for efficiency improvement and implementing necessary changes. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations (SALSA) within the production environment. Communicate and collaborate with other departments, such as customer service, 3rd party logistics and founders to ensure high standards are met. Maintain accurate records of production metrics, reporting on performance against targets. Train new employees on production techniques, safety procedures, and equipment operation. Budget management of agency workers Site management - overseeing required maintenance with contractors. Support founders with planning equipment requirements, team and production site growth to meet sales demand.

Skills

Proficient in excel, to ensure accurate production planning. A flexible, growth mindset - ready to troubleshoot and find solutions. Experience working in a kitchen environment, managing food production and achieving SALSA standards is a must. Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team. Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail to ensure high-quality output. Effective communication skills for liaising with team members and other departments.
