The Role:



We are seeking an experienced pharmaceutical Production Manager to lead and manage all Production (Manufacturing) in accordance with cGMP, cGDP and Environmental, Health and Safety regulations. You will plan, control and co-ordinate all the activities and the resources within Production in order to manufacture and pack pharmaceutical products effectively and achieve product output to the required standards of quality, cost, delivery and customer service and be accountable for all aspects of operational performance, driving improvements to all aspects of operations, safety and compliance

Responsibilities include:

To work effectively with the Operations and Quality Management team to ensure business operational needs are met in accordance with the site work schedule

Meet site financial targets for Production, via effective budget management, including reduction of material destruction and improvements in yield, productivity and performance of people/equipment

Own the Production plan and participate in Operational Planning meetings and ensure efficient labour and asset utilisation to delivery on-time in-full delivery against the Demand Plan

Regularly review training requirements, developing and implementing appropriate training workshops. Review development opportunities across the production teams and develop and implement appropriate training and coaching programs

Review Health and Safety requirements against all Production processes, activities and materials used and implement the appropriate controls and assessments

Observe and comply with cGMP and cGDP, company Standard Operation Procedures (SOPs) and company Health and Safety policies.

The Person:



Significant experience as a Production Manager within the pharmaceutical industry

In-depth knowledge and experience of cGMP and cGDP guidelines and pharmaceutical manufacturing processes

Experience and skilled in continuous improvements/lean manufacturing techniques and implementation

Excellent organisational and people management skills

Ability to work under pressure whilst maintaining attention to detail to schedule resources, assets and production staff

Excellent problem-solving skills

Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills

High level of numeracy skills

Demonstrable success in monitoring, training and development teams

Ability to work autonomously and organise own workload efficiently

Practical hands-on approach with a 'can do' attitude

Excellent team player

Competent in basic computer software packages

Logical and analytical mind-set

Encourages a culture of openness, honesty and integrity

Understanding of Health and Safety requirements related to manufacturing environments
