With the take over of the Business and new Directors, we at Pathfinder Homes are growing and now looking to take on a Production Manager.
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Production Manager to oversee the construction of lodges from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will coordinate all construction activities, manage resources efficiently, ensure compliance with safety and quality standards, and lead a team of construction professionals to deliver projects on time and within budget
Responsibilities
Ensuring all information, materials, and resources are available for the shop floor to meet the planned delivery dates of the homes.
Advising sales team of delivery dates of homes and ensuring they are met;
Planning production schedules and reviewing long-term production to ensure planned operations are completed on time and within the times allowed by Pathfinder;
Leading daily production meeting and regular team briefings/communications;
Reviewing and advising management team of any additional plans and equipment;
Checking all orders correspond with specifications, drawings and programmes
Attend specification reads, give feedback and advice where required;
Ensuring all drawings and specifications are reviewed and coordinated prior to release to shop floor;
Monthly reviews of any production/design issues and implementing improvement plans where necessary;
Ensuring all company property is maintained and looked after to the best standard possible;
In collaboration with the Health & Safety Advisor, to implement health, safety and environmental initiatives and to ensure the initiatives are enforced and observed;
Liaising with transporters and accounts to ensure homes can be released;
Ensuring quality standards are achieved.
Proactively reviewing and identifying skills shortages and anticipating future needs;
Coaching Production Supervisors;
Monitoring and reviewing Production Team leaders performance, progress and workloads;
Performance management, including reviews, appraisals and regular competency evaluations of Production Staff.
In collaboration with HR, supporting employee relations processes including absence management, disciplinaries and grievances;
Skills
Strong negotiation skills with a proven track record in securing advantageous terms.
In-depth knowledge of supply chain management principles and logistics operations.
Excellent analytical skills with the ability to assess data and make informed decisions.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively liaise with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also demonstrating independence when required.
Detail-oriented approach with strong organisational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: 40,000.00 per year
