Overview


We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Production Manager to oversee our manufacturing operations in Medical Plastic Injection Moulding. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in Production management Minimum of 5 years experience in production management (experience does not have to be in plastic injection moulding, although desirable) and a passion for continuous improvement. This role requires a hands-on approach to managing production processes, ensuring quality control, and optimising assembly operations. The Production Manager will play a crucial role in driving efficiency and maintaining high standards across all production activities.

Working Monday to Friday

Responsibilities



Lead and manage the production team to ensure efficient operations and adherence to production schedules. Implement and monitor quality control measures to maintain product standards and minimise defects. Utilise ERP systems, including SAP, to manage inventory levels, track production metrics, and streamline supply chain processes. Drive continuous improvement initiatives by identifying areas for process enhancement and implementing best practices. Collaborate with engineering teams to apply mechanical knowledge in troubleshooting equipment issues and optimising assembly lines. Conduct regular training sessions for staff on safety protocols, quality standards, and operational procedures. Prepare reports on production performance, highlighting key metrics and areas for improvement.

Requirements



Proven experience as a Production Manager or similar role within a manufacturing environment. Ensure KPI targets are met or exceeded. Strong understanding of supply chain principles and experience with ERP systems. Demonstrated ability in process improvement methodologies and quality control practices. Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a diverse team. Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and problem-solving abilities. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to collaborate across departments.
