We're seeking an experienced production manager to oversee the production of all manufacturing, including cost control.

As Production Manager you will be responsible for all production operations and day to day management of the production team. This role involves the management of a single shift production team to ensure high standards of health and safety, stock and quality control, equipment maintenance and security as well as site safety and compliance.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a managerial or supervisory role, a full, clean UK driving license, exceptional organisational and communication skills as well as being computer literate. Demonstrate the ability to manage a team efficiently and effectively. Experience using stock management software and MS Excel would be advantageous.

Overseeing manufacturing and production processes Develop and implement processes and procedures to improve production as a whole and manage stock accurately. Overseeing goods in and out and ensure quality standards are reached and upheld. Cost control, including overtime and consumables. Checking and maintenance of company equipment, plant and machinery, maintaining relevant logs/records and ensuring daily checks. Adhering to health and safety requirements and ensuring safe working practices including regular updating of risk assessments and hazard reporting will also be an important factor of this position as will ensuring environmental compliance of the site. Creating and execute daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules Striving to reduce expenses and increase productivity across all product lines Maintaining hygienic conditions for both employees and the factory itself Implementing all the company's procedures and policies Communicating any problems or obstacles to senior management Monitoring productivity rates, standards and quality control Training and coaching Production Operatives. Implementing safety, health, environment and quality requirements Identify and address key concerns that may alter or impact production schedule Manage shipping schedule for on-time delivery Provide status reports to direct manager Any relevant Health and Safety qualifications and experience would be beneficial as well as any licenses for fork lifts.
