Sign Systems is a well-established sign manufacturing business situated in the East Midlands. Due to organisational changes, we currently have a position available to work within our sales team at our Derbyshire office based in Ilkeston.

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Production Manager to oversee our manufacturing and installation operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge and hands-on experience with assembly processes, hand tools, and power tools. As a Production Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring efficient production workflows, maintaining safety standards, and leading a team to achieve production targets and ensuring quality control standards are met at all times.

Responsibilities

Manage daily production activities to ensure efficiency and quality standards are met. Oversee production staff, graphics department and installation team influencing a positive work environment. Oversee the assembly process, ensuring that all products are assembled correctly and meet specifications. Daily morning meetings with the team. Liaising with our suppliers and raising purchase orders. Attending site-surveys if and when required Conducting regular site audit inspections. Liaising with the sales team and managing the job sheet process. Arranging installation with our clients. Arranging required access equipment and taking off hire. Producing RAMS and fitting information ready for Installation. Assisting in other areas of the business if necessary. Reporting to the directors.

Qualifications

Proven experience in a production management role or similar position within a signage manufacturing environment. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot issues effectively. Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently. Leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team. Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in all aspects of production management. Ability to work under pressure while maintaining high-quality standards.

Salary guide 35,000 depending on experience.
