Production Manager - Be a Driving Force in UK Manufacturing Excellence




As

Production Manager,

you will lead day-to-day operations across production, warehouse, packing, and final inspection. Your focus will be on executing the production plan efficiently while instilling a culture of safety, quality, performance, and continuous improvement on the shop floor.

Key Responsibilities:



Lead and coordinate daily manufacturing activities, maintaining performance, discipline, and staff morale. Maintain a visible and positive presence on the shop floor. Work closely with the EHSS team to promote a strong safety culture and ensure legal compliance. Collaborate with the Quality function to uphold and improve product standards through root cause analysis. Plan and execute production schedules, ensuring OTIF (On-Time In-Full) delivery targets are met. Supervise and develop production teams through coaching, performance reviews, and identifying training needs. Drive continuous improvement initiatives and promote lean manufacturing practices (e.g., 5S, visual management, root cause analysis). Ensure adherence to SOPs and actively contribute to their development. Manage production data and report KPIs to drive informed decisions. Support special projects as defined by the Operations Manager.

What You'll Bring



Minimum 5 years' experience in a supervisory or production leadership role. A hands-on, people-first leadership style with the ability to motivate and inspire teams. Strong knowledge of Health & Safety regulations and best practices. Familiarity with lean tools such as 7 Wastes, 5S, RCA, and corrective/preventive actions. Excellent communication, organisation, and analytical skills. High attention to detail and a methodical approach to problem-solving. Proficiency in MS Office and other relevant systems.
