The site is growing and we have opportunities for new family members to join the team as Production Operatives or Key Operators on the production line (skilled). The role of a Key Operator/Production Operative is to carry out any and all factory duties assigned to you by the Production Team Leader or Production Shift Manager. Some of this is skilled work and you would then be considered a key operator. To make sure work carried out is to the highest standards of quality, hygiene and accuracy.
Outline of role and some responsibilities are:
To work as part of the Production team and help drive and deliver the highest standards of operations/performance, quality, food safety, hygiene and health and safety.
Ensure adherence to all site policies and procedures, Boparan and Bernard Matthews Site, local policies.
Ensure any reasonable management requests made in the workplace is followed, unless concern for food safety, quality, hygiene, health and safety or operations.
Make sure you effectively communicate with colleagues and managers.
When requested, perform key operator tasks, such as any CCP (Critical Control Point) or key tasks such as; Ovens, CCP/Metal Detection/Paperwork, Mixing, Chiller, X Ray, Tumblers, Searer
Have a positive impact in your role as production operative, to ensure team success by operating to high standard of work.
Ensure a good standard of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) by ensuring a good standard of housekeeping, CAYG (Clean as you go), in all production areas. Adhere to company hygiene procedures and site standards.
Be always audit ready.
Adhere to all HACCP procedures, and to ensure highest level of food safety, legality, and quality of products.
Informing Management of faulty machinery or production issues.
Ensure you are open to change and be flexible when requested to change shifts, areas, or tasks.
Any other ad-hoc tasks that may be requested of you.
Always ensure the wearing and correct use of PPE, following department standards.
Follow the site standard operating procedures once trained on all machinery and equipment.
Fixed Term Contracts may be extended or you may become a permanent member of the BM Sunderland Family!
