Position: Production Operative
Reports to: Production Supervisor
Role Overview: Based at our Biddulph Moor site, responsible for operating hydraulic power presses, producing products of the highest standards for the customers by meeting the required safety and quality standards and supporting the Operations team in delivering the performance and business objectives.
Key Accountabilities:
Producing high volumes of compression moulded components within a high output, fast paced environment.
Operating hydraulic power presses as well as general assembly work in a safe and efficient manner.
Operating within strict health and safety and quality requirements.
Working towards team-based productivity targets.
Maintaining a high standard of housekeeping.
Maintaining quality control throughout all areas of production.
Working as part of a team on the production line.
All other duties as required by the Production Supervisor.
Associated Responsibilities:
Supporting Operation related activities as required particularly during periods of unplanned absence and holidays.
Supporting any Operation related improvements.

1. Operating equipment in line with Health & Safety procedures and ensuring that this is adhered to at all times.

Experience and Training:
Previous experience of operating machinery.
Previous assembly experience.
Previous experience of packaging large components.
Ability of carrying out manual tasks.
Ability to interpret safety instructions.
Training will be provided.
Essential Criteria:
Must be able to work shifts.
Must have worked in a busy, high output manufacturing environment.
High levels of attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
Must demonstrate self-awareness.
Work well within a team.
Health and Safety and quality focussed.
Must have a good level of numeracy, literacy and writing skills.
Basic IT literacy.
Must have good communication skills.
