U-Roof is a busy modern construction supply with its eye on the future is looking for a production operative. The business is based in Brighouse and registered to BS EN 1090 (CE marked).
Reporting to the Production Manager this position is crucial to the fabrication of our lightweight steel framing system panels and associated products. Our products are used in a variety of projects from replacement conservatory roofs, garden rooms up to large multi storey buildings.
You will be self-motivated and reliable.
Experience in sheet metal fabrication/ joinery or a similar production/ assembly environment would be desirable but not essential as full training will be given.
You will also be numerate and accurate with specific attention to detail.
Ability to read basic fabrication drawings, use handheld and powered tools is essential as is the ability to cut and measure accurately.
starting rate 12.40 then reviewed after 3mth
Clean driving license desirable
Fork truck CB licence desirable
Position - 39 hrs/+ TKB+ overtime rate x 1.5

Able to work from engineering drawings, Sketches and Diagrams etc.
Adept in the use of hand tools i.e. Drills, Gauges, Cutters, grinders etc.

c.s.c.s card, c.b. forklift license advantageous
Driving license desirable

Negotiable depending on age and experience.
This role would suit applicants with a high attention to detail and a manufacturing past, however, full training will be provided. Due to the bespoke nature of all our products, a full company induction will be provided. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, quality driven and would like to progress their career in skilled manufacturing.

Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including proper storage of tools and materials.
Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines and resolve any issues that arise.
Utilize warehouse experience to manage inventory and assist in logistics as needed.
