Wye Valley Brewery

is an independent family brewery located in Stoke Lacy, Herefordshire. Due to increased production demands we are now seeking to hire an additional brewery operative based in the fermentation, cask/keg/bottle filling lines, and warehouse.

The successful candidate

will be a motivated team player with excellent time keeping. You will preferably have experience gained in a manufacturing background ideally with a food or beverage company. You will have an awareness of working to strict quality and health & safety standards. A current fork-lift truck license would be a definite advantage. A degree of physical fitness will be required as the role involves repetitive lifting of 10 and 20kg casks.

The job

will be based in one of the filling lines and will involve carrying out a range of duties including: - cask and keg washing, inspection, filling, robot operation, fork lift driving and computer system data entry. Fermentation area tasks to include, fermentation checks, yeast skimming, beer transfer, vessel cleaning. Warehouse tasks to include goods in/out, stock control, customer collections, ensuring enough stock set out for our own transport deliveries and stock management on computer based system. There will be general housekeeping tasks across all areas. The successful candidate will be given full training.

Hours:

Standard 07:00-15:30, rotating around 08:00 and 09:00 starts depending on production needs. Other hours, weekends and Bank Holidays will be required depending on production requirements.

Benefits:

Starting rate 12.60 per hour rising to 13.05 when fully trained. We also offer a company pension and profit related bonus scheme.

Due to our rural location applicants must have their own transport.
