Job Summary

Advanced Proteins is the largest single site animal by-product & pet food ingredient supplier in the UK. Based at the state of the art site in Cheddleton, Staffordshire. Our specialist products provide an essential protein source for key suppliers within the pet food industry.

Main duties & responsibilities:

To operate plant or machinery, which will include process lines/forklifts (Training will be provided to the successful applicant). Operating production line equipment. Reporting equipment faults. Ensuring finished products are within specification. Monitoring products & carrying out basic sampling tasks. Housekeeping. Driving different vehicles. Use of lifting equipment. Confined space entries. Ensuring Health & Safety guidance is followed.

Ideal applicants:

Experience within a manufacturing or processing industry & be used to working within a busy process environment. Forklift truck driving or plant experience would be advantageous (training will be provided for a suitable candidate). Ability to work well with others is essential. Attention to detail. Sound understanding of Health & Safety. Ability to carry out tasks on a computer/hand held device.

Working hours:

Working hours are 42 hours per week (average) on a 3-on-3 off rolling shift pattern which will include night & weekend work. Hours of work are 06.00-18.00 & 18.00-06.00.

Salary:

Starting rate of 14.01 per hour.
