As we continue our mission to make people happy through chocolate, we're looking for a

Production Operative

to join our

Manufacturing

Team

on a

permanent

basis.


We don't think there's a better product to be working with than chocolate, and as a Production Operative, you will be responsible for delivering the production plan alongside your team, within agreed quality parameters to continuously manufacture world class chocolates.


You will work closely with our Senior Machine Operatives to support in the improvement of performance against KPIs.

Shift Pattern:

A rotating weekly shift pattern of 6am to 2pm and 2pm to 10pm, Monday to Friday.

Salary: 24,823.5

Location:

The onsite location for this role is at our Factory 'Hadley Park', in Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire, right in the heart of where our chocolates are made and where weekly, we can produce between 4 to 6 million of the chocolates we all know and love.


Hadley Park is just 5 minutes off the A141 and 1.3 miles from Huntingdon train station, with direct rail links to London King's Cross.

What you'll be doing....

Make sure tool and equipment handling GMP rules are followed with care and ownership. Ensure 100% compliance with product specification. 'Clean as you go' approach to working area and equipment. Ensure the asset / process removes risk of foreign body contamination proactively. Food safety standard compliance and hygiene, and PPE policies adhered to. All paperwork compliance in line with technical requirements for Food Safety. Take responsibility of your own Health and Safety and the Health and Safety of others around you and raise concerns to your line manager as quickly as possible. Proactively be involved in changeovers and setting up the asset/line. Work in line with the team with production control systems, KPIs to achieve plan target and cost. Understand and control material usage. Escalate material quality and quantity concerns to your line manager as soon as possible. Identify opportunities for efficiency, quality and productivity improvements.

Who you are...

Essential

Food Safety Level 2 qualification. Knowledge of KPIs. Strong verbal and written English to clearly discuss performance of your asset / process.

Desirable

Knowledge of Continuous Improvement skills, with the ability to deploy critical thinking. HACCP trained. GMP knowledge.
