(25,100 base salary + 20% shift allowance)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a

Production Operative

at our Roberts Road, Doncaster depot.

As a Production Operative, you will play a key role in supporting the ongoing production and maintenance of our locomotives by providing assistance to the Fitters/Technicians and undertaking various labouring activities.

The Production Operative's role

includes:

Completing different labouring tasks and providing proactive and effective assistance to the team as instructed Performing setup and cleanup tasks Manual handling and moving of goods and equipment, including use of manual handling equipment such as forklift trucks and overhead cranes Maintaining a safe, tidy and clean work area Acting as a role model of Quality, Health and Safety and Environmental Policies Occasional travel to other sites and suppliers, including use of company vans
You will work an 8 week shift pattern alternating day (06:00-17:30) and night (19:00-06:00). You will work 4 weekends in every 8.

What we would love you to bring to the role:

Fork-lift truck licence Full UK driving licence Energetic and willing to take on different tasks as required. Proactive in spotting opportunities to help Bring a positive attitude to your work, learning and development. A good level of physical fitness is required for the demands of this job. A confident communicator and able to build effective relationships with colleagues.
You'll need to be based close to our Doncaster depot and have a valid right to work in the UK
