Production Operative

GAP Metal Ltd are a busy, family owned sheet metal & fabrication company based in Hailsham, East Sussex with over 40 years of experience in the industry.

We are looking to recruit a

Production Operative

on a full time, permanent basis.

This person would largely be required to assist in the operation of our Laser Cutting Machines, which includes;

Learning how to operate our two Trumpf fiber lasers.

Unloading and cleaning up components from the laser bed.

Packing and preparing orders for dispatch.

Working to our ISO 9001 procedures in order to maintain high quality standards.

In addition to this the candidate would also be required to perform secondary workshop tasks such as drilling, tapping, countersinking and finishing.

Whilst experience of a manufacturing environment would be beneficial, we would also consider applicants with the right work ethic and a desire to learn. The applicant would also need to be physically fit.

Monday to Friday 8am - 4.30pm with regular overtime as required.

Rate dependent on experience.
