Overview of the Role

Production Operatives are responsible for running equipment assets in the manufacturing plants. Basic Maths and English skills required, any engineering background knowledge is a desirable attribute. For those seeking the position on the job training will be provided.

Objectives, Roles and ResponsibilitiesAssemble raw materials required for prepping, mixing, measuring and packing of finished product Manage automated methods and temperatures for manufacturing products execute and maintain plant equipment Communicate with other members of the production team by co-ordinating activities depending on production schedules as set out by department leads Participate in four hourly JTM meetings (providing critical shift related information to lead op and supervisor) Be able to work using on initiate and in small teams


Qualifications, Knowledge, Skill and Experience (Required to perform the job)

EssentialApplicants must be able to understand read and write English to a good standard. The job holder should be reliable, trustworthy and able to work without direct supervision. Due to the operation the job holder will be required to lift and move weights up to and including 25kgs. Operatives must be able to stand for the full shift. Good communication skills. Flexible team player. Good time keeper and ability to organise task completion in a timely manner. Attention to detail and accuracy. Possess a willingness to learn and undertake new challenges. Able to work using own initiative as well as being part of a team. Employees must have the right to work in The UK.


DesirableTraining in COSHH. Forklift license. Experience in food handling and hygiene/HACCP. * Experience of safety in a food factory environment.
