Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dependable Production Operative to join our manufacturing team, with key responsibilities across laminating, fabric marking, spray booth operation, and assembly. This role requires hands-on experience and attention to detail to ensure that all components meet quality and production standards. The successful candidate will play an essential role in supporting the production of high-quality seating products.

Key Responsibilities

Laminating:

Perform laminating of materials to specification, ensuring consistent application and high-quality results.

Spray Booth Operation:

Operate the spray booth safely and effectively.
Responsible for cleaning and maintaining the spray booth and associated equipment in line with company procedures and safety standards.

Fabric Marking:

Accurately mark fabrics according to cutting and production requirements.
Ensure all markings are clear, consistent, and aligned with pattern specifications.

Eyeleting & Press Studding:

Apply eyelets and press studs to components using appropriate tools and methods.
Ensure fittings are secure, neat, and meet quality standards.

Packing:

Pack finished goods according to company guidelines, ensuring proper labeling and protection of items for storage or dispatch.

Quality Checks:

Conduct basic inspections during each stage of the process to identify and report defects or inconsistencies.
Adhere to quality assurance procedures throughout production.

Workplace Maintenance:

Keep the work area clean, tidy, and free of hazards.
Contribute to routine maintenance and general housekeeping tasks.

Qualifications & Experience

Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment preferred Familiarity with laminating and/or spray booth processes desirable Comfortable using hand tools and basic production equipment Ability to interpret work instructions, patterns, and specifications Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity Capable of working independently and as part of a team

Desirable Skills:

Experience in upholstery or textile-related production Basic understanding of health and safety standards in a factory setting Ability to work to targets and deadlines
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From 12.50 per hour

Expected hours: 37.5 per week
