Job Overview
Robinsons are looking to recruit a Production Operative based at our premises in Lockerbie. You will be an operative working in a busy production environment which specialises in the manufacturing of steel framed buildings. You will ideally have a skill set working with steel in an engineering environment, as part of a team.
Duties & Responsibilities
Measuring and marking our steelwork Drilling metal Using punching machine Using grinders/ Abrasive wheels Plasma Profile burning Cutting steel plates Duties include physical aspects of manual handling, such as medium lifting of flat bars etc Assisting with loading materials.
Person Specification:
Essential:
Maintain a high standard of work under pressure Willing to learn new skills Willing to do overtime when required Basic numeracy & literacy Basic IT skills
Desirable
Knowledge working with metal in an engineering environment Forklift ticket
