JOB OVERVIEW:



As a Production Operative, you will join our existing team based in Lockerbie and will assist with the efficient manufacturing of bespoke, high-quality concrete products. These roles offer fantastic opportunities for successful candidates to gain or enhance their knowledge and skills within the manufacturing and construction industry.

KEY DUTIES AND responsibilities



The key duties and responsibilities of these positions include, but are not limited to:

Stripping out freestanding moulds and handling steel reinforcement cages. Assembling and cleaning precast moulds. Pouring concrete and finishing units to a high standard. Reading drawings. Cutting and bending reinforcing steel to be used in the production of concrete products. Operating power tools and hand tools. Working as a team to meet production standards and deadlines. Monitoring situations to adjust and maintain quality. Undertaking basic maintenance and regular equipment checks within the factories. Performing housekeeping duties to ensure a safe, clean, and tidy working environment. Undertaking any relevant training in line with own personal development needs and business requirements. Complying with the company's policies & procedures and Health & Safety regulations. Assisting with additional duties when required to support the department or company objectives. Completing paperwork. Using Cranes (training will be provided if necessary)

Person Specification:



Previous experience within a similar role is desirable but not essential. Training will be provided. A good general level of education. Be willing to undertake the relevant training required for the role Hard-working and conscientious. Willing to learn new skills. Demonstrate excellent interpersonal, communication and organisation skills. Have an understanding of Health & Safety within the workplace. Knowledge of concrete products/production is desirable but not essential. Training will be provided. Ability to work under supervision and as part of a team. Be able to build good working relationships with colleagues. Have a positive attitude to all tasks. Motivated, enthusiastic, and confident. Hardworking with a flexible attitude to work.
