MHT Foods are a growing family run business with two food production sites in Market Harborough. One site is a bakery offering a range of hand-crafted multi-portion loaf cakes, slab cakes and tray bakes, the second site produces high quality preserves, chutney's, pickles, and condiments.

We have an immediate start for an enthusiastic and reliable team member for our preserves site. 05.30 - 14.00, Monday to Friday with some Saturday mornings required during busy production periods.

This position would suit someone with an excellent attention to detail and able to work under their own initiative as well as part of a team. You will need to be flexible and able to cover other parts of the business. You need to be honest, reliable, and punctual.

Key responsibilities

Packing orders

. Produce preserves, jams chutneys and other jarred goods.

Counting stock

Quality checking

Labelling and repackaging goods

Wear all protective clothing as required (jewellery, piercings and artificial nails must be removed)

Tidying and cleaning production areas and warehouse

Good understanding of written and spoken English in order to fully understand food safety procedures

Must be able to work at speed with accuracy at all times

The ability to lift up to 25kg alone and assist with loads of up to 60KG

Must be able to stand for long periods of time

Ensure tasks are completed within a set timescale

Must be able to work a minimum of 4-6 Saturdays
