The Role
We are looking for a Production Operative to join our busy fire door manufacturing facility at the end of February. This is an entry-level, hands-on role suited to someone who is reliable, eager to learn, and comfortable working in a factory environment. Full training will be provided.
As part of the operations team, you'll be responsible for maintaining smooth workflow across warehousing and manufacturing, ensuring health & safety procedures are followed, and upholding our high-quality standards.

8:00-17:00- With an hour break

Main Duties & Responsibilities
Assist with general production tasks within the factory
Pick, prepare, and move materials for production as instructed
Support the fire door assembly process under supervision
Load and unload deliveries following basic procedures
Keep work areas clean, tidy, and free from hazards
Follow all health & safety rules and site procedures at all times
Accurately follow work instructions and supervisor guidance
Carry out basic quality checks and report any issues
Assist with stock handling and report shortages or damages
Use basic tools and equipment safely (training provided)
Support other departments as required to meet production targets
Skills, Experience & Qualities Required
No previous manufacturing experience required - full training provided
A positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills
Reliable, punctual, and hardworking
Ability to follow instructions accurately
Good attention to detail
Able to work well as part of a team
Awareness of health & safety in a factory environment
Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling tasks
Basic communication skills
Desirable (but not essential)
Previous experience in a factory, warehouse, or production environment
Experience using basic hand tools
Forklift licence (training can be provided)
