We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Production Operative to join our manufacturing team. This role is crucial in ensuring the high-quality production and assembly of our industry - leading products. The ideal candidate will have experience in a production or assembly environment, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to maintaining health and safety standards.
Role Overview:
The Production Operative will be responsible for assembling, inspecting, and testing products to ensure they meet quality standards. The role involves working within a fast-paced production environment, operating machinery, handling materials, and contributing to the overall efficiency of the production line.
Key Responsibilities:
Manufacturing & Assembly
Operate machinery and tools to assemble components accurately and efficiently.
Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistent production quality.
Conduct inspections and quality checks to identify defects or inconsistencies.
Ensure all workstations are well-maintained and comply with safety regulations.
Quality Control & Compliance
Conduct product testing and inspections to ensure compliance with company standards.
Report any defects.
Maintain accurate production records and documentation.
Health, Safety & Environmental Responsibilities
Adhere to health and safety regulations and ensure proper use of PPE.
Participate in workplace safety training and hazard reporting.
Maintain a clean and organised workspace to promote a safe working environment.
Follow environmental best practices to minimise waste and support sustainability.
General Support & Continuous Improvement
Assist in stock management and material handling.
Work collaboratively with team members to enhance production efficiency.
Participate in training and development programs to improve skills.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to optimise manufacturing processes.
Key Requirements
Previous experience in a manufacturing, production, or assembly role (preferred but not essential).
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Strong analytical skills to assess production quality and troubleshoot issues.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Good problem-solving skills and ability to follow instructions.
Basic mechanical knowledge or experience operating production machinery (advantageous).
Knowledge of welding techniques (advantageous).
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Physically fit to handle manual tasks and stand for extended periods.
