It's the perfect time to join The Original Baker, with our new leadership team, a brand new bakery with large staff canteen, great shifts, generous pay rates and new benefits!


We offer 12.80 per hour, increasing to 13.17 per hour after successful probation. Optional overtime is often available and paid at time and a half. Our Production Operative work set shifts Monday to Friday 6 am - 2 pm.


This is a great opportunity for experienced Production Operatives to join our friendly team, helping produce our award-winning artisan savoury products and a mouthwatering selection of cakes and biscuits.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

Work in all areas of production, including preparing pastry, crimping pies, mixing, preparing fillings or packing products. Use machinery and equipment safely. Ensure products always meet quality standards. Always follow health, safety and food hygiene procedures. Keep your work area clean and tidy. Help out in other departments when needed.

Key Skills and Competencies:

Previous experience in food manufacturing is desirable, but full training would be provided. Basic understanding of hygiene practices in a food production environment. Awareness of food safety standards such as HACCP and BRC would be advantageous. Good communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong attention to detail and time management skills. A flexible, proactive and solution focused approach.
