Production Operative
Job Description
D & F McCarthy's Ltd - a family owned business for 145 years - are looking to recruit workers to work in our small team, preparing fresh produce for wholesale and retail markets.
We are looking for full-time permanent workers, working 5 days a week Sunday evening to Friday evening.
The role involves peeling, slicing, dicing and bagging fresh produce with a combination of table work and dedicated machines.
A work history involving food preparation is advantageous although full training will be provided as part of the role. Food hygiene certificate useful.
This role is undertaken in a chilled and damp environment (2-8c) but PPE is provided and a full uniform after completion of the 3-month probation period.
Key Information
Pay is 13.00 per hour
Contracted for 35 hours a week but during busier periods this could be up to 45 hours a week. (Usually you will work around 40 but there may be the odd week where it will be less). All overtime paid and holiday accounts for overtime.
A paid hr break every evening
Evening shift (6 pm - 1/2am) depending on when the work is complete
Sunday - Friday with 1 rotating night off (5 days per week)
