Production Operative



Salary 25,396.80 gross per year Full Time (40 hours per week)



Plymouth (PL6 7RG)



Reporting to the Team Leaders/Production Lead (on site)



We are looking for production operatives with previous manufacturing/factory environment experience, and a willingness to train on operating machinery.

You will primarily be laying up paper and card ready for cutting, hole punching or printing on an industrial scale. You will also sort and pack, maybe some machine minding.

You will need a good eye for detail and be prepared to be on your feet all day, working with a fair amount of manual handling.

Main responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

Inspecting work coming through the production line Ensuring all rejects are being recorded and available for rework Learning about customer's quality requirements Understanding why product needs to be rejected Recording details of each job into book Packing goods individually, wrapping and palletising following set specifications (avoiding any damage on the product) Organising own workspace, achieving goals and completing orders within timely manner Ensuring that orders are packed correctly, accordingly to the specification, ready to dispatch Escalating any issues with the stock, material or components to production team leader & production lead Making sure that ready goods after quality verification are being allocated on pallets and clearly marked as completed Reporting issues related to improving Quality Inspection and processes within Production and Packing Areas Keeping area of work clean and tidy, well-organised Monitoring stock levels needed for fulfilling orders Requesting work orders from the office within acceptable time frame (allowing to keep production lines running) Assisting with smoothening production process Job involves manual handling Following Health & Safety requirements in the workplace
These duties are not exhaustive. Additional duties, responsibilities and projects may also be required.

Schedule:



40 hrs per week (8 Hour Shift) 07:00 to 15:30 Monday to Friday Onsite working
