Hydro is one of the main suppliers of aluminium extrusions committed to delivering high finish products to the automotive and engineering industries within the UK and European markets. Due to our on-going expansion, we are currently looking for Production Operatives to join our fast paced manufacturing site in Bedwas, Caerphilly.

Role Purpose:

To carry our all tasks to their best ability whilst adhering to safety, quality and people standards.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

Meet Production Requirements

Meet Production target's set for process at the correct Quality Level

Complete Production paperwork per shift

Follow and work to set procedures defined in process work Instructions

Where trained and defined in your working process - check and carry out specific tooling checks, changes and TPM activities

Attend and participate in production team meetings

Maintain, improve and ensure good safe housekeeping and 5s is applied in your work area

Quality Systems

Understand basic quality requirements and business expectations for your process

Ensure use of PWI's (process work instructions)

Understand basic product knowledge

Complete paperwork charts/logs/boards as required

Complete all Defined Quality Checks (First off, Last off, In process and Gauge Checks) within your process and document where requested

Continuous Improvement

Be involved in Continuous Improvement activities as they arise

Be aware of opportunities to reduce costs and escalate to Line Manager

Be aware of EBS (Extrusion Business system)

Organise Resources

Escalate to Line Manager any shortfalls or imbalances

Participate in overtime as required

Comply with all time and attendance targets

Maintain high standards of individual housekeeping and 5s
