Production Operative

Working in a shift team you will be self-motivated, reliable, accurate and enjoy working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You should also be able to work safely unsupervised as well as with others to ensure the maximum productivity of your team.

Key Responsibilities include:

Operation of pneumatic gun to clip frames to pocket spring units.

Selection of correct frames as per product codes.

Accurate completion of production timesheets

Following quality, health & safety and standard operating procedures to a high standard.

Meeting strict planning deadlines

The successful candidate must have:

Enthusiasm for manufacturing and producing a quality product

Ability to follow company procedures and verbal instructions accurately and safely.

Understanding of Health & Safety awareness and relevant legislation

Excellent timekeeping and reliability

Good organisational and housekeeping skills

A real 'can do' attitude and excellent communication and team working skills

Good numeracy skills together with a good standard of written and spoken English

Desire to progress in experience re multiskilling and responsibilities

Salary

Starting salary of 26,667 per annum, dependent on position, skills and experience and paid monthly. Overtime often available in peak periods. Company health scheme (after 1 years service), workwear, pension, discretionary company sick pay (after 5 years' service) and car parking are provided.

Hours

The Company works on a 3 x 8-hour rotating shift pattern (5.45am-2pm / 9.45pm-6am / 1.45pm-10pm) with some fixed holidays.
