Job Description

Ford Windows are recruiting for a Senior Supervisor, responsible for ensuring that a team of operatives delivers the assigned amount of production on schedule, meeting targets for quality, cost, and safety. The role also includes wider operational responsibilities such as stock control, goods handling, and system updates to support seamless production and supply chain performance.

Duties will include but not limited to:

Work on a production line involved in the full process of manufacturing UPVC windows and doors. Operate machinery and work with materials specific to the Fenestration industry, including glass, PVC, and hardware. Report any plant or machinery breakdowns promptly Manage the receipt of goods, including checking and processing deliveries Conduct regular stock checks Undertake general storekeeping duties Collaborate with Central Purchasing to order goods and materials as needed. Ensure timely and efficient coordination of deliveries. Update internal systems with goods receipt information and stock levels Gather and stage completed products Monitor quality control Maintain housekeeping standards across the production area. Ensure full compliance with the Health and Safety at Work Act and all company policies and procedures. Actively support the Group Health & Safety Manager . Delegate tasks effectively to team members. Motivate and lead the team. Assist the team directly by performing tasks as needed. Monitor performance through structured audits and evaluations. Complete relevant paperwork and documentation in line with operational requirements. Manage personnel duties. Provide updates and reporting to senior-level management
Qualifications / Personal Attributes

Experience in the PVC window industry preferred, though training will be provided for all roles and machinery. NVQ Level 2 or equivalent qualification ideal. Demonstrate reliability, responsibility, and trustworthiness. Strong timekeeping and time management skills. Calm under pressure with effective decision-making abilities. Leadership skills to motivate and manage a team effectively. Capable of meeting deadlines and achieving operational targets. Approachable, with strong communication and interpersonal skills. Skilled in problem-solving and confident in using IT systems for record keeping and reporting. Willingness to work flexibly and uphold high health and safety standards.
You must be able to work 39 hours per week Monday to Friday. Overtime is available and payable during busier periods. The role is full time, permanent and available immediately at the factory based in Blantyre.
