If you are then an excellent opportunity has arisen for a skilled Production Operative to join a leading Animal Feed manufacturing business. You will work a continental shift pattern based on 24/7 working, which is 4 x 12-hour shifts days/nights on, followed by 4 days off.

Dugdale Nutrition Ltd is a modern family business, leading the UK's ruminant sector by delivering outstanding products, people, partnerships and performance. We currently have two production facilities based in Speke and Clitheroe that run 24/7.

Your responsibilities...

Reporting to the Team Leader/Site Manager, your duties will include but not limited to;

Continuous monitoring of the feed production process using our DSL control system to achieve daily targets. Adhere to quality standards in order reach customer quality expectations as dictated by the Quality and Feed Safety system Weighments by hand of minerals and additives dictated by each individual formulation. Setting of raw material routing for incoming deliveries and recording. Filling using the front end loader of raw material bins from storage in the warehouse. Loading of finished feed vehicles and completing documentation (bulk out loading). Completion of daily tasks to include cleaning and organising of production areas. Maintenance and replacement of consumable items associated with the production process such as dies, rollers, screens and beaters along with daily adjustments and lubrication of machines. Operation of the packaging facilities in our warehouse. These include but not exhaustive bagging into 20kg/25kg bags and into flexible tote bags of finished feed for dispatch.

Person Specification...

Essential:

Experience of production systems and procedures. Able to work on own initiative and demonstrate forward planning. Problem solving skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment to high health, safety and environmental standards. Punctuality is key to the role being part of such a small team. Attention to detail. Flexibility during our seasonal production demands. Self-motivation and ability to think fast on your feet.

Desirable:

Previous experience in milling and agricultural feed. FLT and telehandler experience preferred but not essential as onsite training can be provided.
