Role Overview
As a Production Operative, you will play a vital role in the day-to-day manufacturing of kitchen cabinets. Working as part of a close-knit production team, you will be responsible for ensuring components are assembled, finished, wrapped and dispatched to the highest standards of quality and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Assemble kitchen cabinets using hand tools, power tools, and woodworking machinery.
Install fittings such as dowels, hinges, drawer runners with precision.
Handle materials and move components safely through the production line.
Accurately finish cabinets by fitting drawers, mechanisms and hanging doors.
Collaborate with team members and supervisors to ensure production targets are met.
Inspect products during and after assembly to ensure quality control standards are maintained.
Ensure all products are manufactured in line with production paperwork.
Maintain a clean and organized workshop area and adhere to all health and safety guidelines.
Contribute to problem-solving and continuous improvement on the production floor.
Accurately complete production records as and when required and follow standard operating procedures.
Participate in training and continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements & Skills
Previous experience in a manufacturing or joinery environment preferred.
Basic woodworking or mechanical skills advantageous.
Strong attention to detail and a focus on quality.
Physically fit and able to stand for long periods and lift materials as needed.
A good team player with a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
Awareness of health and safety practices in a manufacturing environment is advantageous.
Whilst these skills are advantageous, training will be offered for the right applicant.
