Finishing Department Operative

Days

Tritech Group are manufacturing experts and suppliers of precision products to global Aerospace & Defence industry giants and to support our rapid growth we are recruiting for a range of positions across our UK facilities.

The role of the Finishing Operative will be within either Inspection , NDT and CMM Departments.

The employee will willingly undertake, upon request, any other task they are able to perform. Elements of the role may vary as new technology, procedures and equipment are introduced.

Key Responsibilities:

Identifying and removing imperfections from castings Using calibrated measuring equipment Using bandsaws, water blasters and sand blasters as part of the Finishing process. General and visual inspection Reading and understanding specifications and standards General and cosmetic tidy up of castings using air powered and electric tools. General duties within the Finishing Department.

Person Specification

Excellent attendance and time keeping. A willingness to learn new skills. Dedicated and motivated individual. A loyal and likeable character who shows honesty and integrity. You must be flexible in your approach to working hours, as from time to time you may be required to work shifts which may include night shifts.

Experience

CMM Operating experienced desired Manufacturing or process experience Ideally you will be educated to a good high school standard Previous experience within a production environment would be desirable but full training will be given, experience within a manufacturing background would be highly preferred however not essential.
Pension: 5% min personal contribution, Company contribution of 3%

Annual Leave: 25 days plus 8 BH Pro-rata

Life Insurance: 2 x annual salary Death in Service
