PRODUCTION OPERATIVE VACANCY

Matki PLC are currently seeking a full time, permanent, Production Operative to join our team in Yate.

Salary

To 25,397. Opportunity to progress to higher salary band as operative becomes more skilled and completes probationary period.

Monday - Thursday 7.45 - 4.30 and Friday 7.45 - 3.15

(30 minute lunch break)

Our Company is entering a period of growth due to an upsurge in new business.

Matki PLC have excellent staff retention due to continued training and investment, along with progression opportunities. This vacancy is for a Production Operative.

ABOUT THE POSITION

The position will suit someone who is conscientious, hardworking and able to work well both alone and as part of a team. Previous production environment experience is advantageous but not essential for the right candidate.

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

Check that all raw materials and subassemblies are received in good condition. Build and assemble products in line with Matki quality standards within efficient time scales. Have a good understanding of safe working practices and H&S requirements within a production environment. Assist with other assembly, production and despatch related general tasks when required.

Skills and Attributes:

Previous light production experience is desirable but not necessary. Honest, reliable, trustworthy character with a strong work ethic and a positive attitude to work. Knowledge of manual handling techniques as this position requires lifting of glass. Good level of numeracy for measuring tasks and English literacy for reading product build sheets. Must demonstrate excellent attention to detail and always apply a high level of accuracy. Efficiency is key, ensuring items are manufactured in a timely manner. Ability to work alone with minimum supervision as well as part of a team. Able to follow instructions and requests from Manager/Supervisor. Good organisational and time management skills.
