Production Operative

Based in Newcastle-under-Lyme
12.50 per hour, Monday - Friday, 40 hours per week

Early finish on a Friday

This is a fantastic opportunity to represent a growing business, by playing a key role in our production and assembly processes.

What You'll Be Doing

Machine Operation & Assembly

Operate woodworking and edge-banding machinery safely and efficiently, following all operational guidelines (full training provided if required). Assemble furniture components using a variety of tools and techniques, including gluing, dowelling, screwing, clamping, and fitting. Inspect parts for quality and consistency before and after assembly, reporting any defects or discrepancies. Move materials efficiently between workstations to keep production flowing. Identify ways to reduce waste and improve efficiency.
Health, Safety & Housekeeping

Follow all Health & Safety guidelines and wear correct PPE. Maintain a clean and organised workspace. Participate in safety briefings and toolbox talks.
Driving & Delivery

Deliver manufactured products safely, professionally, and on time. Assist with vehicle loading and ensure deliveries meet customer specifications. Occasionally assist with on-site furniture installations (some working away may be required).

About You

Experience operating machinery is desirable, but full training will be provided. Previous experience in furniture assembly or installation is an advantage. Physically fit and capable of manual handling tasks. Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team. Hold a valid driving licence. Willing to be flexible with working hours.
