Overview


We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Production Operative/Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team. This role involves operating various machinery, ensuring quality standards, and maintaining efficient production processes within a dynamic manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude, experience with precision measuring instruments, and familiarity with manufacturing and fabrication techniques. Responsibilities



Operate and monitor machinery such as CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, stamping presses, flexo presses, press brake machines, and CNC programming equipment. Set up and adjust machines using blueprints, CAD drawings, GD&T specifications, and tooling instructions to ensure accurate production runs. Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and minor repairs on equipment to minimize downtime. Conduct quality inspections using calipers, micrometers, precision measuring instruments, and other tools to ensure products meet specified tolerances. Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and manufacturing documentation for accurate fabrication and assembly. Handle materials safely using forklifts or manual handling techniques; assist with materials handling and packaging as needed. Maintain a clean and organized work area adhering to safety standards and factory protocols. Support assembly line operations including fabrication, welding, tooling setup, and product packaging. Follow safety procedures diligently to prevent accidents or injuries in the manufacturing facility.

Skills



Proficiency with CNC programming, CAM programming, CAD software such as SolidWorks or similar tools. Experience operating CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, stamping presses, press brakes, welding equipment, and fabrication tools. Familiarity with Fanuc controls and programmable logic controllers (PLCs). Mechanical knowledge of machining processes including machining operations like CNC milling and turning. Ability to read blueprints accurately using GD&T standards; interpret technical drawings for fabrication tasks. Skilled in the use of hand tools such as calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments for quality control. Experience with factory operations including materials handling with forklifts or manual methods; warehouse experience is advantageous. Knowledge of manufacturing safety protocols; ability to work in a manufacturing facility environment safely. Basic math skills necessary for measurements and calculations related to machining tolerances. Familiarity with welding techniques and assembly processes is a plus. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot machinery issues efficiently. This role requires a dedicated individual committed to maintaining high standards of quality and safety while supporting efficient manufacturing operations. Candidates should possess relevant factory experience or training in machining or fabrication processes to succeed in this position.

Pay: 13.00 per hour
