Position Overview

Working within a busy, fast-paced production environment, we are seeking a skilled Grinder/Turner who will be responsible for machining components in accordance with manufacturing instructions and drawings.

Main Duties

The role will be responsible for strict adherence to internal specifications and procedures Setting and operating conventional and CNC machines is a critical aspect of this role but it will also involve flexibility to work in other areas of the plant You will carry out dimensional checks using defined metrology equipment as well as ensuing all equipment is used correctly and in satisfactory working condition, ensuring timely reporting of any faults Further the finishing of components post coating is part of this role You will be in charge for cleaning and maintaining work area and equipment

Key Candidate Requirements

You will have ideally completed an apprenticeship in a tool making/machining discipline (or equivalent experience) and/or will have a good knowledge and understanding of machine shop practices You will be able to understand and interpret engineering drawings, and you are able to use appropriate measuring equipment related to specific drawing requirements Ideally you will have experience in cylindrical, centerless and surface grinding to tight tolerances. Experience in aerospace or other safety critical industries would be an advantage You have machining operations experience or Manufacturing experience

Pay: 25,000.00-30,000.00 per year
