Senstronics Ltd is a joint venture company owned solely between two multi $Bn companies supplying thin film pressure transducers to the agricultural, construction, automotive, and industrial sectors. Based in Newton Aycliffe and established in 1999, Senstronics have invested heavily to develop its own state-of-the-art thin film production facility and in-house ASIC design technology.
Our output is the foundation of the business. We manufacture and assemble thin film pressure transducers and supply to a global market.
Our Production Operators are the key players in the operational processes, and we have high expectations.
The role will contribute to the processing, build, assembly and calibration of products to achieve output targets, whilst focusing on quality and seeking opportunities for improvements.
The roles provide the opportunity for development and has an incremental salary scale attached. Following the successful completion of a 6-month probation period operators are expected, and supported, to move through the tiers by developing skills/experience and demonstrating our core values. The successful candidates will be appointed on the appropriate tier dependant on their competency level.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
Contribute to the efficient and accurate Manufacturing of components, as directed by the relevant workstations within our Cleanroom or Assembly unit.
Load and un-load components and/or tools within a work cell.
Carry out Quality inspection and data recording throughout each process.
Carry out detailed operations according to the documented process.
Monitor the progress of calibration and sort the components according to the result of the programme.
Component manufacturing, assembly, machine welding, testing, part labelling and visual inspection.
Ensure production/processing is completed within the required targets without compromising on quality or standards.
Perform routine set-up checks of processes and tools.
Conduct processes with an understanding of the impact of scrap and wastage.
Inputting data into spreadsheets and recording results.
Achieve targets without compromising on quality or standards.
Liaise with key personnel across different departments to support the continuous improvement programme, including raising product issues and quality concerns.
Participate in training as instructed by Shift Supervisors.
Candidate Requirements:
Essential:
Good communication skills and the ability to follow Standard Operating Procedures.
Basic level understanding of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word).
Ability to work under pressure and achieve targets.
Good organisation and time management skills.
Excellent attention to detail.
Ability to work as part of a team.
