A long established packaging manufacturer based in both the Bridgend and Rhondda areas, are currently recruiting production operators to join a newly formed team.
Candidates will be joining a busy and fast-paced environment on a permanent contract.
You will be responsible for operating production machines whilst achieving specified output figures. The role involves running machines, picking and packing products into boxes, completing appropriate paperwork, highlighting any quality issues as they arise, whilst ensuring safe working practices are followed at all times.
Specific role responsibilities:
Responsible for effective setting up and running of machinery to achieve daily production
Ensuring the correct materials are being used for each production run
Packing completed products into boxes
Completing all relevant paperwork
Ensuring all products are manufactured are in line with customer specifications and quality requirements.
Ensure you are at allocated place of work / press on time, at start of shift
Ensure areas are clean & tidy, at all times
Reporting to Team Supervisor / Shift Manager any maintenance issue or concerns
Ensure all required PPE is being used / worn correctly and report any concerns
Knowledge/skills/experience:
Ability to be agile and work within a fast-paced environment
Previous experience working in food manufacturing is beneficial
Ability to work on own initiative, as well as part of a team
Attention to detail
Flexible and adaptable to the changing requirements of the business
Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure
Starts available from mid March
, on a 40 hour week, 2 shift rotation of:
- Days Monday to Friday 6am - 2pm
- Afternoons Monday to Friday 2pm - 10pm
