BACKGROUND:


Deeside Cereals is looking to recruit a Weekend shift to boost it's existing capacity.

Number of Vacancies - 18 Working Hours - 24 per week on a rotating basis Shift Pattern: Week 1 (Nights) - Friday 6.00pm - Saturday 6.00am, Saturday 6.00pm - Sunday 6.00am Week 2 (Days) - Saturday 6.00am - Saturday 6.00pm, Sunday 6.00am - Sunday 6.00pm
Rate of Pay - 17.17 per hour (21,438.14 per annum) Overtime would be available (although not guaranteed) on weekdays for this role.

PURPOSE OF ROLE:


The preparation, processing and packing of raw materials into finished products


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Ensure that the plant can complete weekly production Maintain a constant supply of raw materials/ingredients and packaging to the production line Make adjustments to the plant production line machinery and equipment to ensure that maximum production levels are achieved in the most efficient way possible Responsibility for ordering the correct volumes of raw materials and packaging from the Warehouse to meet the daily production plan Completion of documentation relating to production output levels, quality of finished product and material usage figures Indirect responsibility for the induction of new and temporary operators allocated to the production team Responsibility for production line adjustments, changeovers, strip downs and re-assembly when changing over product Directly responsible for ensuring that the production line is maintained in a proper and satisfactory condition in order to meet the weekly production plan Full responsibility for completion of all relevant safety checks prior to the commencement of the daily production plan Responsibility for the quality and quantity of the product being produced and packed and the relevant paperwork to support this Responsibility for ensuring that all finished product specifications are complied with during the production period The job holder is expected to use initiative and judgement in identifying and correcting production faults and stoppages The job holder is expected to use initiative and judgement in ordering a constant supply of raw materials and packaging from the Warehouse in order to maintain continuous production runs The job holder is expected to use initiative and judgement in communicating with QA and Engineering when problems arise The job holder is required to do all tasks considered as relevant by their line manager Responsible for Food Safety, Quality and Legality

Requirements




SKILLS REQUIRED:

A good standard of general education is required in English & Maths A sound working knowledge of the food industry with experience of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) A fork lift truck (FLT) licence is an advantage for the lifting and positioning of raw materials and packaging and the removal of waste finished product
