We are recruiting for a Production Parts Assistant at our headquarters in Hebburn, who will enhance their team and contribute to the efficient and timely supply of essential components, ensuring functionality and customer satisfaction in the business!
Responsibilities:
  • Administer documentation to ensure that goods are purchased from reputable suppliers.
  • Assist with the updating of the approved suppliers register.
  • Participate in supplier audits.
  • Create purchase orders for production parts in line with production demand.
  • Check and book in incoming goods.
  • Check outgoing parts to ensure accuracy of orders and returns.
  • Complete several reports including returns report, as well as information on parts returns.
  • Attend daily production meeting to discuss production parts requirements.
  • Liaising with suppliers to place, expedite and return orders.
  • General troubleshooting including leasing with suppliers and/or production for missing parts etc.
  • Participate in stocktaking.
  • Support in the yard as/when required.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Essential
  • Previous experience gained from working within a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent IT skills, being proficient with MS Office and in particular Excel and Outlook.
  • Strong communication, organisation and planning skills.
  • Excellent time management skills, be a forward thinker with the capability to plan ahead.
  • Ability to work under pressure, with the aptitude to think on your feet and resolve issues.
  • Ability to produce accurate reports.

Preferred
  • Ability to build rapport with managers, colleagues and customers.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
  • Counterbalance and Reach FLT Licences (in-house training can be provided).
