Due to continued successful client portfolio growth, we are expanding our team and are looking for

Production Planner

that will help us coordinating our resources to plan efficiently and ensure our products are dispatched OTIF (On Time, In Full)

In the role of

Production Planner

you will play a pivotal role via S&OP and "Business as Usual" working practices in optimizing the efficiency of our manufacturing plant. Specialising in a unique sector, our manufacturing processes demand a nimble flexible planning approach.
With a key focus on delivering excellent OTIF performance, you will maximise asset utilisation levels via optimised production plans, meeting the operational, customer and business demands.

Working hours are Monday to Friday, 37.5hrs per week. This role is site based with the option to work from home 6 days per month once probation period has elapsed.

Key role responsibilities:



Own, maintain, and improve the capacity planning system. Develop agile forward planning strategies that maximise machine efficiency and minimise manufacturing variance. Lead regular S&OP meetings with key stakeholders to facilitate business planning. Update and ensure accuracy on our ERP systems, aligning production with sales forecasts. Ensure the availability of raw materials and packaging to support production schedules. Communicate effectively with all key stakeholders daily. Develop forward planning strategies, especially for raw materials and packaging, considering capacity demand. Generate and maintain work schedules to meet customer orders and issue clear work instructions. Monitor stock levels and efficiently manage inventory. Identify and implement improvements to planning and scheduling processes as part of continuous improvement. Collaborate with Commercial and Customer Services teams for product specification and requirement changes. Provide daily statistics on plan adherence and manufacturing variance. Resolve paperwork or booking issues to aid job completion to scheduled expectations. Create demand and usage from weekly forecasts for raw materials and packaging. Resolve service and supply issues to minimize the impact on service delivery. Monitor raw material usage, minimize waste, and ensure daily and weekly availability. Work collaboratively with the procurement team to ensure orders are placed at the appropriate time to minimise working capital. Manage OpCenter planning system.

Familiarity with ISO and other quality standards. In-depth understanding of manufacturing, engineering, and processes, with experience of working within such an environment. Strong data analysis skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and professional software packages. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Proven experience in delivering planning projects on time. Familiarity with scheduling and forecasting tools. Natural leadership and teamworking behaviour.
