Job Summary



The Production Planner is responsible for developing and maintaining efficient production schedules to meet customer demand while optimizing labor, materials, and equipment within a food manufacturing environment. This role ensures on-time production, minimal waste, and compliance with food safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities



Develop, manage, and adjust daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules based on demand forecasts, inventory levels, and capacity. Coordinate closely with Production, Procurement, Quality, and Logistics teams to ensure smooth execution of production plans. Ensure availability of raw materials, packaging, and ingredients to support production schedules. Monitor production performance and address schedule deviations, shortages, or constraints. Optimize production sequencing to minimize changeovers, downtime, and waste. Track and report key planning metrics such as schedule adherence, service level, and inventory accuracy. Maintain accurate data in ERP/MRP systems and ensure production plans are up to date. Support continuous improvement initiatives related to planning, efficiency, and inventory management. Ensure compliance with food safety, quality, and regulatory requirements (e.g., HACCP, GMPs). Participate in cross-functional meetings to align demand, supply, and operational priorities.

Qualifications & Experience



1+ years of production planning or scheduling experience, preferably in food or FMCG manufacturing. Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and capacity planning. Experience working with ERP/MRP systems. Knowledge of food safety and quality standards is an asset. Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
